DEALERS BEWARE: FTC BUYERS GUIDE AUDITS IN PROCESS

The Federal Trade Commission is in the process of conducting field investigations at dealerships across the country to check compliance with the Used Car Rule (Buyer’s Guide/Window Sticker Requirements).

As a reminder, the Buyer’s Guide must be posted on or in a vehicle when a car is available for sale. A vehicle is available for sale when a dealership displays it for sale or allows a customer to inspect it for the purpose of buying it (even if the vehicle is not fully prepared for delivery).
