9:45 am – 10:30 am Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs) and Interqual™-
What are they targeting? What is your strategy?
What is Interqual™ criteria and how is it used in your facility?
10:30 am – 10:45 am Break
10:45 am – 11:00 am Presentation by Host facility on their documentation improvement efforts – strengths and weaknesses
11:00 am - 12:00 pm Open Forum – What keeps you up at night?
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm – 1:45 pm MS-DRG/POA update
1:45 pm – 3:00 pm Queries
We will demonstrate through exercises and case examples how staff may need to approach their queries going forward.

Registration Fee:
Per attendee = $90 due at time of registration.
Fee includes seminar materials and lunch

Continuing Education:
This Roundtable program meets AHIMA guidelines for 6 hours of continuing education credit.

Cancellation Policy:
Registration fees will be refunded (less 10% processing fee) upon written notice received 72 hours before the scheduled event. Cancellation within 72 hours of the scheduled event, will not be refunded. Substitution for registrations is permitted.

Training Facilitators

Claudia Urech, RHIA, is a Manager with the firm's healthcare consulting group. She focuses on Clinical Coding and Reimbursement services, including Documentation Improvement services.

Claudia is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). She is a member of the American Health Information Management Association and the Georgia Health Information Management Association.

 

Laura Pait, RHIA, CCS, is a Senior Manager with the firm’s healthcare consulting group. She specializes in Clinical Coding and Reimbursement services, including Documentation Improvement services.

Laura is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). She is a member of the American Health Information Management Association, the North Carolina Health Information Management Association, and the North Carolina Healthcare Financial Management Association.
